ABOUT COMMISSIONING

Commissioners are Scouting’s first line of support for units and unit leaders. We are coaches, friends, and mentors as we help unit leaders deliver the Scouting Promise.

Perhaps the most important characteristic of any Commissioner is the “servant heart”. A Commissioner is only successful when the unit(s) we work with are successful – successful in providing a quality and FUN scouting program for youth, growing in membership and have sufficient leadership in place.  We are not commissioners for the recognition, but for our desire to instill in our youth the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
